Since July 2018, Soundpaintingmadrid organizes exclusive Soundpainitng Certification exams in Spain.  These tests are conducted in Madrid with the soundpaintnters Walter Thompson (creator) and Ricardo Gassent (associate certifier).

The Soundpainting Certification was created to maintain a high level of competence that guarantees an adequate teaching and training in Soundpainting.  The Certification in Levels 1 and 2, both in a single and multidisciplinary discipline, is offered several times a year by Walter Thompson and the associated certifying soundpaininters François Jeanneau (in Paris-France) and Ricardo Gassent (in Madrid-Spain).  In order to obtain this certification, each candidate must fully understand the theoretical, physical and compositional aspects of the 43 gestures in Workbook 1 (Level 1), the 75 gestures in Workbook 2 (Level 2), the gerstures of Level 1 from Workbook 3 (Level 1 multidisciplinary) and the gestures of Level 2 from Workbook 3 (Level 2 multidisciplinary).  An oral test based on the theoretical parameters is required, as well as a practical test of skills in composition, using a Soundpainting ensemble, to fulfill the requirements necessary to obtain the Soundpainting Certification of levels 1 and 2.
